Rubberbands...Good or Bad?

The use of rubberbands has been a question of concern for years. I don't feel that it has ever been answered completely. However, I am sure that we have all heard horror stories about the use of rubberbands in our children's hair. Well for me I don't have any negative things to say about the use of them, I actually feel as if they have been a great help with me growing my two year old daughter's hair; you just have to use them correctly.

For me using them has had it's pros. With Naturally Rayna I have used them for eight years and no problems and with my two year old Carli, I feel that they actually had a great impact on helping her hair grow.

When asking the rubberbands I feel that you just have to make sure that you use them correctly. I have three simple steps that I follow to make sure that I have no issues from the rubberbands.

1. Moisturize them with an oil. (I use Olive Oil)
2. Make sure that they are not too tight.
3. Cut them out...never pull them. (I use nail clippers)
